During the five-hour test drive of the GSC-SPT2023 at the Nürburgring race track in Germany, I encountered a series of issues that affected multiple components of the car. In this report, I will provide a detailed account of each issue, the chain of events leading to the problems, and how these problems ultimately affected the overall performance of the vehicle.
One of the most critical issues experienced during the test drive involved the Eco Mode of the Drive Train, the Energy Recovery System, the Engine, and the Electronic Control Unit. While driving in Eco Mode, I observed that the Energy Recovery System’s energy harvesting feature was not operating at its optimal level. This issue affected the engine, causing intermittent stalling, which led to a lag in the responsiveness of the Electronic Control Unit.
Another chain of events that led to multiple issues with the car began with the cooling system. The Radiator Fan failed to provide adequate airflow across the cooling fins, causing the engine coolant temperature to rise above the recommended range.
| Title | Priority | Number of Components Involved |
