Is Fig an alternative to Microsoft 365 Copilot?
For companies whose work happens in Slack and SaaS tools rather than inside Office documents, yes. Fig gives the whole team frontier models from multiple labs, company context through Enterprise Graph, and governed agents — as a self-serve platform billed on usage, with no Microsoft 365 prerequisite. If you need AI inside Word, Excel, and Teams meetings, Copilot is built for that.
What does Microsoft 365 Copilot actually cost?
The Copilot add-on is $30 per user/month on an annual plan, on top of a Microsoft 365 license (E3 is $39, E5 is $60 per user/month since July 2026). Agents, Cowork, and premium reasoning are metered separately in Copilot Credits at $0.01 each, and Agent 365 governance is another $15 per user/month. Microsoft's E7 bundle is $99 per user/month. Fig has no seats — usage is billed from a shared pool.
Does Copilot work in Slack?
Not natively. Copilot runs in Microsoft 365 apps and the Copilot app; Copilot Studio agents can be published to Slack through Azure Bot Service. Fig runs in-channel in Slack as a native surface, alongside desktop, mobile, and web.
Can I choose which AI models Copilot uses?
Partly. Copilot auto-selects between OpenAI and Anthropic models and offers a user picker, with admin control per provider — but Anthropic is off by default in the EU, EFTA, and UK, sits outside the EU Data Boundary, and is unavailable in GCC High and DoD. Fig routes tasks across frontier models from multiple labs with per-team controls and no regional exclusions of that kind.
How does Fig's Enterprise Graph compare to Microsoft Graph and Work IQ?
Microsoft Graph is the deepest source of context for Microsoft data — mail, calendar, files, Teams — and Work IQ exposes it to Copilot and agents, permission-trimmed. Fig's Enterprise Graph maps the people, teams, projects, and activity across your whole stack, including Slack and your systems of record, with access that follows source permissions. Which is richer depends on where your company's work actually lives.
