Showcase/Admission desk

Admission desk

An admission desk for the counselor: the day's visits and the people who need a reply, transcripts read and checked against what the student reported, a decision prepared with the merit award and the letter, and outreach built by describing the audience in a sentence; every reply, decision and message writes to the record and reaches the student's phone.

Overview

A counselor's day is school visits, then a night of inbox: replies across email and text, transcripts to check by hand, and a list of students who went quiet after a visit. The CRM holds all of it, and none of it is in order.

The desk opens on the day: the schedule, who wrote back, which transcripts disagree with the application, and who visited but never applied. Each reply is drafted in the counselor's voice from the record and the handbook. A transcript is read into fields with the flags called out; the file comes with a recommendation, the merit award and the letter, and the counselor decides. Outreach starts from a sentence, such as admits who have not started the FAFSA, or from students like one the counselor names, and every message lands on the record.

Key features

  • My day: the schedule, replies waiting, flagged transcripts and students who went quiet, with what changed while the counselor was out.
  • Files read for the counselor: transcript fields, flags where the record disagrees, a recommendation with the merit award and the aid check, and the letter.
  • Outreach from a sentence or from students like one the counselor names, drafted per person and sent as email or text.
  • One inbox across text, email and calls, and the questions the assistant could not answer, answered once for the next student.

Decisions it produces

  • Send or edit a drafted reply
  • Admit, waitlist or deny with the letter
  • Ask for a missing document
  • Send outreach to an audience described in a sentence
