The role
Fig sells a platform plus a deployment to companies that have decided to change how they operate. The buyer is a COO, a CFO or a head of operations, and what closes the deal is a credible picture of which process changes first, what it is worth, and who from Fig will be in their building making it happen.
You own a region from a field hub and run the whole cycle. There is no SDR handing you meetings and no separate solutions team taking the technical conversation away from you. The Applied AI Architect scopes the evaluation with you, and the Deployment Strategist who will run the account joins before the contract is signed.
What you'll do
- Run the full cycle: source, qualify, run the evaluation with the Applied AI Architect, negotiate, close.
- Sell into industrials, distribution, consumer brands and insurance across your region, mostly in person.
- Sell a platform plus deployment contract, not a seat license. Scope the first deployment with the customer and the pod that will run it.
- Hand the account to the Deployment Strategist and stay in the room through go-live and the first expansion.
- Keep the CRM true. The forecast is built from what you enter.
What we look for
- Four or more years closing software or services deals with operating executives, with a track record you can show.
- Has sold something that required an implementation, and knows how to sell the implementation.
- Comfortable being the second or third salesperson at the company and building your own pipeline.
- Can explain what an AI system will do inside a warehouse or a finance team without a demo, and knows when to bring the architect in.
- Lives in or near the hub and likes being in customers' buildings.
Nice to have
- An existing network of operating executives in your region.
- Time selling for a company where the product was deployed by a field team rather than switched on.
Location and travel
Based in Chicago, New York or Dallas and covering that region. Travel is around 50 percent, mostly day trips inside the region.
About Fig
Fig's mission is to change how businesses operate. We build AI systems that run inside companies, on their data, their rules and their choice of models, and we deploy them with a team that stays until the work is running. More than 300,000 professionals in over 70 countries already work with Fig every day.
We are majority employee-owned. There is no outside board setting the pace and no fundraising cycle to perform for. We answer to our customers and to each other, and the people who build the company own it.
The team is small and talent-dense. We like people who are direct, who would rather ship than present, and who take a customer's problem personally.
