The role
Every Fig deal has a moment where the buyer's CTO or head of data asks how it actually works. You are the answer. You run the evaluation with the account executive, scope the first deployment so the pod can deliver it, and write the technical story that survives a security review.
The same skills run two other things we need. Partnerships: the private equity firms and consultancies that can put Fig in front of ten companies at once want a technical peer, not a salesperson. And product marketing: the reference architectures, the comparison pages, and the talks that explain Fig to a technical audience come from you.
What you'll do
- Run the technical side of every evaluation: discovery with the customer's engineers, a scoped proof on their data, and a deployment plan the pod signs off on before the contract does.
- Answer security and architecture questions from the buyer's technical team, and own the security questionnaire that comes with every enterprise deal.
- Build and run the partnerships motion with private equity operating teams and consulting firms, from first meeting to co-selling into their portfolios.
- Write the technical content that sells: reference architectures, integration guides, comparison pages, and the talk you give at the customer's offsite.
- Turn what you learn in evaluations into requirements for the platform team, ranked.
What we look for
- Five or more years in solutions engineering, solutions architecture, or forward-deployed work, with at least two accountable for deals closing.
- Has built something real with LLMs in production, and can scope an integration into an ERP, a CRM and a data warehouse on a whiteboard.
- Can hold a room with a CTO and a room with a partner at a private equity firm in the same week.
- Writes well. The documents you produce are read by people who decide whether to buy.
- Comfortable owning a number alongside the account executives.
Nice to have
- An existing network in private equity operating groups or the consulting firms that serve them.
- Experience with enterprise security reviews and the questionnaires that come with them.
Location and travel
New York, where the partnerships are. Travel is around 40 percent, split between customers in every hub and the platform team in San Francisco.
About Fig
Fig's mission is to change how businesses operate. We build AI systems that run inside companies, on their data, their rules and their choice of models, and we deploy them with a team that stays until the work is running. More than 300,000 professionals in over 70 countries already work with Fig every day.
We are majority employee-owned. There is no outside board setting the pace and no fundraising cycle to perform for. We answer to our customers and to each other, and the people who build the company own it.
The team is small and talent-dense. We like people who are direct, who would rather ship than present, and who take a customer's problem personally.
