The role
Fig is hiring engineers, deployment strategists and sellers across four cities, and every one of them changes what the company can do. You own that: sourcing, the process, the candidate experience, and the close. Hiring managers run their own interviews; you make sure the right people are in them.
Once the team is in place, the second half of the job starts: onboarding, the review and compensation cycle, benefits, the handbook, and the fair, direct people process a small company needs. You will set it up, run it, and keep it light.
What you'll do
- Own full-cycle recruiting for every open role: sourcing, screening, scheduling, the work sample, the close.
- Build the pipeline for the seats we hire repeatedly, Forward Deployed Engineers and Deployment Strategists, in each hub.
- Run a hiring process that is fast, honest and consistent, and hold hiring managers to it.
- Set up onboarding, benefits, payroll operations with the outsourced accountants, and the review cycle.
- Be the person people come to when something is wrong, and handle it directly.
What we look for
- Five or more years in recruiting, with at least two hiring engineers and go-to-market people at a company under a hundred people.
- Has closed candidates who had better-known offers, and can say how.
- Has run or set up people operations before, or clearly wants to and has the judgment for it.
- Organized, direct, and comfortable telling a hiring manager their process is the problem.
- Writes well. Job posts, offer letters and the handbook are yours.
Nice to have
- Experience recruiting field or forward-deployed roles outside the founding city.
- Has used AI tooling to run a recruiting pipeline and has opinions on where it helps.
Location
San Francisco, with occasional travel to the field hubs for interviews and onboarding.
