Material shortage management
Material shortage management across a network: out-of-stock alerts on a board from awaiting action to resolved, filtered by location, severity, owner and type, the impact of each shortage on production and customer orders, simulated resolutions the operator validates or replaces with their own, and a collaboration thread stored with the decision.
One working session with the people in the seat: which decisions, which systems, what a good week looks like.
The app you see above, running on your own exports instead of the simulated world. Every screen, every decision, your numbers.
Wired to your systems with your permissions, agents proposing, people approving, the ledger recording who did what.
Overview
A shortage at one plant is discovered when the line stops. Planners then chase stock across plants and suppliers by phone and email, and the fix nobody wrote down is lost by the next time it happens.
The cockpit raises the risk before the stock-out, across raw, intermediate, finished and packaging materials, and ranks it by business impact. Opening an alert shows the orders and revenue at risk, and a simulation proposes transfers, expedites, re-sequencing and substitutions with their cost and coverage; the operator validates one or simulates their own. The thread with the other teams is stored with the decision so the next resolution starts from it.
Key features
- Alert cockpit: upcoming out-of-stock risks across every material type, prioritised by configurable business strategies.
- Material shortage simulation: resolutions with coverage, cost and late orders, validated or replaced with the operator's own idea.
- User collaboration framework: teams across hierarchies discuss in natural language and the result is stored with the alert.
- Decisions captured in the ontology so later resolutions follow known best practice.
Decisions it produces
- Take ownership of a shortage alert
- Validate a simulated resolution
- Simulate an alternative
- Mark a shortage resolved
