Showcase/Outage cause classification

Outage cause classification

Outage causes proposed from patrol notes and the outage management system, reviewed one by one with the confidence, the explanation and the device's outage history, approved or corrected, and analytics over causes, circuits and devices that surface the recurring ones for targeted maintenance.

Scope1 day

One working session with the people in the seat: which decisions, which systems, what a good week looks like.

The app you see above, running on your own exports instead of the simulated world. Every screen, every decision, your numbers.

Production7 days

Wired to your systems with your permissions, agents proposing, people approving, the ledger recording who did what.

Overview

Outage causes are recorded from memory days later or left blank, and the patrol note that explains what the crew found never joins the record. Vegetation programmes and equipment replacements are prioritised without it.

The app reads the patrol note with the outage management data and proposes a cause with a confidence and an explanation. The analyst approves it, or edits it and the correction trains the model, and the record is written back. Analytics count outages by cause, circuit and device, with the ones that recur flagged for maintenance and vegetation work.

Key features

  • AI-powered outage classification: patrol notes and outage management data read into a proposed cause with confidence and explanation.
  • Pattern discovery: causes, circuits and devices compared in analytics with the time series of outages.
  • Recurring issues identification: devices and circuits with repeat outages flagged for maintenance and upgrades.
  • Human review: proposals approved or corrected, with the corrections kept as feedback.

Decisions it produces

  • Approve a proposed outage cause
  • Correct a cause
  • Add a recurring device to the maintenance list
  • Filter outages by cause, confidence and date
