Dynamic rig scheduling
A rig schedule for drilling, completions and well work: rigs by row with the work orders over two years, an AFE and suggested crew for each, new work orders placed into the first window that fits, and a changelog with undo, redo, reset and review before the plan is written back.
One working session with the people in the seat: which decisions, which systems, what a good week looks like.
The app you see above, running on your own exports instead of the simulated world. Every screen, every decision, your numbers.
Wired to your systems with your permissions, agents proposing, people approving, the ledger recording who did what.
Overview
Rig time is the scarcest asset in the field, and the schedule that allocates it lives in a spreadsheet the planner rebuilds when a well slips, a crew is short or an AFE stalls. The production target for the year moves with every edit and nobody sees it move.
The app puts the rigs, work orders, AFEs and personnel on one board. Each puck opens its window, complexity and crew requirement, the AFE with submit and approve, and the personnel the agent suggests from certifications and current allocation. A new work order is placed into the first rig window with no overlap, and reviewing the changes checks overlaps, crew allocation and the production target before writing to the work order system.
Key features
- Comprehensive rig scheduling: drilling, completion and well-work pucks per rig over two years, filtered by rig, activity type, complexity and work order status.
- Activity and personnel management: crew requirement per job and suggested assignments from certifications and allocation.
- AFE creation and approval: draft, submit and approve authorizations for expenditure, releasing approved ones to the schedule.
- Schedule monitoring: new work orders placed against rig availability, a changelog with undo, redo and reset, and a review before publishing.
Decisions it produces
- Place a new work order on a rig
- Submit or approve an AFE
- Assign the suggested crew
- Publish the reviewed schedule
